I am trying to define and looking for indicators of the job market that focus on real growth in order to identify sectors, type of companies and / or geographic areas that are consistently employing perm and temp workers - this is what I mean with 'growth indicators'.
I have thought that a good, hard indicator could be the number of companies that have increased their voluntary contributions to stakeholder pensions, by sectors or county, in the last 18 / 36 months.
The Labour Market section of www.ons.gov.uk does not offer anything in such direction. I asked the Work Foundation but got no answer.
Any idea of sources useful either for this or for other possible 'hard' indicators?
Thanks for references and ideas, I can share the gathered answers.
