Bank of England: Assistant Archivist
Starting Salary: c£28,000 plus benefits package
The Bank of England is the central bank of the United Kingdom, with responsibility for ensuring its monetary and financial stability.
The Bank is looking to recruit an Assistant Archivist to a permanent full-time position. This post has been created as a result of the need to reduce the current release date of public authority information from 30 to 20 years. This will accelerate the transfer and accessioning of material into the Archive to ensure that it is available for research at the correct time. As well as making a major contribution to the team’s appraisal and cataloguing programme, the post-holder will share responsibility for the day to day running of the Archive’s enquiry and public research services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an archivist wanting to gain experience of working in a major financial institution.
Closing date for applications is 22 April 2013
