A quick disclaimer: a colleague forwarded the following note to me on behalf of Autograph ABP regarding an archival role they have to offer, so I'm not posting this on behalf of the National Portrait Gallery, but I hope the Archive Coordinator role is perhaps of interest.

Dear Colleagues
As some of you may know I am now at Autograph ABP 3 days a week as Deputy
Director : [log in to unmask]
We are currently recruiting for three posts all based at Autograph in
Rivington Place, Old Street, and I would be so grateful if you could
circulate this email to anyone who you know that may be interested and
encourage them to apply.
Autograph ABP is a visual arts organisation supported by Arts Council
England which works internationally using photography to address issues of
cultural identity and human rights. It achieves this through formal and
informal education programmes, exhibitions, publishing, and the creation of
an archive of culturally diverse photography that is accessible to the
public for research. Our programme has an extensive national profile. We
engage with audiences locally and regionally by working in partnership with
host venues across the UK. Our exhibitions support emerging and mid-career
artists, as well as younger and often-overlooked practitioners; for example,
last year Autograph ABP commissioned John Akomfrah to produce The Unfinished
Conversation which was first shown at Liverpool Biennale.
A very brief summary of each post follows:
A three year fixed term full time Outreach Coordinator funded by Esmee
Fairbairn Foundation to develop our strategy and activity to extend reach
and engagement with all our audiences through Autograph's public
exhibitions and events programme in London and on occasion in other parts of
the UK
A three year fixed term full time Archive Coordinator funded by the
Heritage Lottery Foundation to develop the Autograph Photographic Archive
researching black presences in Britain from the 1850's onwards and
disseminating the results through a public programme which will include pop
up exhibitions, image projections in the public realm, education projects
with youth groups. This post will also have responsibility for interns and
volunteer management. This post is funded by HLF working with national
partners including the V&A the National Portrait Gallery and the Army
Museum
A part time (21 hours per week) Administrator ( hours could be organised
flexibly for example across 5 mornings a week) to run the office and
support some project work.
