AI-2013 is the 33rd Annual International Conference of the British Computer Society's Specialist Group on Artificial Intelligence (SGAI). It will be held in the attractive surroundings of Peterhouse College in Cambridge on 10-12 December 2013. Details are available at www.bcs-sgai.org/ai2013/.
The first day (Tuesday 10 December) will include four half-day workshops, running in two parallel sessions. Would you like to volunteer to organise and chair one?
We would waive your registration fee for the workshop day (but not for the whole conference, if you choose to stay for all three days). We would also pay for your reasonable travel in the UK and, if necessary, a night's accommodation. You get all the glory, of course! Please note that your speakers will be expected to register and to pay the usual (modest) fee for the workshop day, in order to cover our overhead expenses and the costs of lunch and refreshments.
We are particularly keen to host practical workshops that show how specific techniques can be implemented or describe real-world application domains. We are open to any proposals for AI-related topics, but here are a few suggestions:
- agents
- data farming
- data mining and the use of statistics
- optimisation algorithms
- knowledge engineering
- neural networks
- neurofuzzy systems
- pattern recognition
- planning systems
- uncertainty
- web mining
- AI in medicine
- AI in manufacturing
- AI in ...
If you are interested in presenting a workshop, please reply directly to me ([log in to unmask]).
Thanks a lot.
Adrian Hopgood.
