On the 15th and 16th of March, the Carnival Archive Project will host their second conference, Here’s One We Made Earlier, a fascinating and uplifting celebration of carnival heritage.
Here’s One We Made Earlier is a free ‘must attend’ event for carnival lovers, archivists and anyone beginning a large scale heritage project. Chaired by Hilary Carty, the two day conference will bring together success stories from the Carnival Archive Project and speeches from leading figures from within the heritage and archive sector, such as HLF's Fiona Talbot and renowned carnival archivist Ruth Tompsett. There will also be talks and performances from some of the UK’s leading carnival figures, such as John Fox and Mary Genis, as well as two performances by the poet John Hegley.
