medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Of course, I may find other A-N Bible text. Amon the ten that I have found, I note the interest of the translators: 4 Apocalyps translations, five psalm translations (in some cases parallel text, in some, interlinear work, in one, picture captions, in one marginal interpretation). One of the psalms translations is not from a Vulgate Bible, but rather a Hebrew text. Then there is the Holkham Bible, still a portion, but called a picture Bible.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Colleagues
I wouldn't be surprised if it were linked to the Anglo-Saxon tradition. As
a point of comparison - all the earliest chronicles in Frensh are
Anglo-Norman, then Norman, almost certainly because england already had a
tradition of vernacular chronicle writing. French was used for a variety
of text-types in England where Latin was still being used on the continent
