Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, is hosting a colloquium in order to consider the political, historical, practical and critical issues that have arisen from the development and implementation of cultural policy in Scotland. The colloquium draws together current research and thinking with contributions from people working in universities, policy and government, and will provide an opportunity for anyone researching or working in the cultural sector in Scotland to meet, debate and exchange ideas.
Cost: £40 full-time waged/ £20 PhD students, part-time waged and unwaged

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
