Alphabetical order by user surname. No other info on slip. Shelved spine inwards so people can't see what the item is that someone has ordered. We try to site them within eyeshot of where staff will be so if someone starts riffling through them staff would spot them.

Subject: Self collection of reservations
Dear Colleagues,
Please can you tell me how you file books that readers have reserved for
collection if you operate and self collection facility at your institiution.
We are about to move to RFID self service this summer and the hold slips
automatically generated by our LMS have full names and user IDs printed on
them. We were going to remove the name and file them on the open shelf in
user ID order but have been advised that this is not acceptable from a data
protection point of view.
Please could you let me know how you manage this.
Many thanks,
Jane
