Subject: Draft English Heritage Guidance on Developing Historic Environment Alerts Mppping - for Comment
Dear colleagues,
In 2010/11, as part of the HER21 programme, LUC was commissioned to conduct research and develop guidance for English Heritage on using historic environment record (HER) data to produce historic environment alerts and constraints mapping for use in planning.
Over half of all HERs responded to the original consultation, and a number of individuals provided very detailed feedback and advice on emerging documents. The attached consultation draft guidance represents the outcomes of this process, and reflects the changes in planning since 2011.
We and English Heritage would greatly appreciate your feedback on the draft, which will help us further refine the guidance to reflect the needs of local authorities and HERs.
We have prepared a short online survey to record your views on the guidance, reflecting the consultation questions incorporated within the text. Please click on the link below to complete the survey:

Your contribution to this project is greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Steven Orr
