Assistant Archivist/Information Officer (maternity cover)
ING Commercial Banking UK, based in the City of London, has an opportunity for an Assistant Archivist/Information Officer from the end of May.
You will join our small but busy Corporate Communications team that manages the prestigious Baring Archive, a Designated collection which is one of the finest archives of a financial institution anywhere in the world. We also manage ING’s outstanding collection of fine art and several key proprietary information systems that track deal information for marketing purposes.
This role offers a rare opportunity both to work with an outstanding archive collection and to develop knowledge of the current work of a large financial institution.
You will work with the Deputy Archivist to assist and supervise users of The Baring Archive; prepare marketing documents and exhibitions; and undertake cataloguing tasks. You will be responsible for adding data to proprietary information databases and generally managing data in these databases; and submitting details of ING’s deals to league table providers (e.g. Bloomberg). You will also have the opportunity to assist with the management of our fine art collection and art related events. In addition, you will undertake other tasks as directed by the Head of Corporate Communications.
If you have a postgraduate diploma/Masters in Archives and Records Management and are looking to broaden your experience of financial archives and the financial environment, then this might be the role for you. We offer a competitive remuneration package. For more details and to apply go to www.ing.jobs/cb and search for ‘027298’.
