I was going to say Koha:
http://www.koha.org/
but with only 2000 items, that might be a bit of overkill to setup and
run, especially with no library staff.
With such a small collection, what about just using LibraryThing?
http://www.librarything.com/
I use this for managing my personal collection of several hundred books,
including noting who've loaned them out to and embedding links to the
catalogue records in other websites (my personal blog for example). Its
not really an LMS, but with no library staff to look after one this might
be the next best thing.
