All,
Helping the retired psychotherapist to organise his materials sounds like an interesting voluntary role. It's great to hear of people who recognise the need for some professionalism in this.
However, I am concerned about the suitability of this opportunity got those seeking pre-course experience. There is no mention of professional supervision for the successful candidate. At Aberystwyth it is mandatory that pre-course experience is supervised by a professional archivist. I'm sure we're not alone in this.

> A prominent retired British psychotherapist is seeking help to file his papers. His archives have already been organised and catalogued, but paperwork continues to accumulate and needs to be integrated into the catalogue every so often. He is based in London, and would like help on an ad-hoc basis once every 4-6 weeks, for 4-5 hours per day. This would suits a non-qualified person seeking pre-course experience, or a current ARM student. If you are interested and would like further details, please email [log in to unmask]
