Starting salary £27,854 a year, in a range up to £36,298 a year, with potential progression to £38,522 a year
Fixed Term Contract for 18 months (anticipated start date 1st April 2013 or as soon after this as possible)
Applications are invited for an EPSRC funded Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Transport group in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham.
To contribute to the development of the EPSRC STEP-CHANGE (Sustainable Transport Evidence and modelling Paradigms: Cohort Household Analysis to support New Goals in Engineering design) project, specifically in terms of research Strands 2 (Historical Information on Transport and Planning Step-changes) and 4 (Planning for Urban Resilience). Relevant skills and interests for this position include: a background (and relevant qualification) in transport research and an interest/experience in the social science aspects of transportation. Particularly relevant would be an interest in change and/or transitions and the behavioural and lifestyle changes which might follow from this in the transport context.
