One worry I do have, not that I say any here are doing it, is an
incomplete or poor understanding of Badiou's formal ontology which seeks
to follow the formal schema and would lead to anything but original and
novel poetics. It would just be a mannerism and the same could happen
with a literal following of Deleuze.
The reason this is a concern is I have read recent reviews of Badiou's
book on Deleuze and the readers fail to understand the different
ontological problems posed by Badiou and Deleuze. I would have thought
this was obvious, given Badiou's concern with Deleuze's monism over any
real encounter with multiplicities and Badiou's avoidance of ATP shows
this up enough.
