Good Morning All!
I am hoping to pick your collective intellect brains on a PTSD case. This chap an ex military & police serviceman, works as an auditor and has recently been diagnosed with PTSD (a few months ago). He is currently undergoing treatment with Combat Stress as well as with BUPA through private health insurance. Although he has been fairly managing work duties, he has been frequently going off sick lately. HR have not been forthcoming with taking on board suggested adjustments by OH such as: flexible working, working from home on some days, allowing time off for appointments etc. Now this chap went to see his GP and GP has signed him unfit for work for 50 days. Chap says this was a mistake as he feels he can manage work duties despite frequent sickness absences. HR wants to know if he can be at work against his GP's advice. Is there anything that OH can do?
I look foward to you responses.
Lin Franklin
