Hello all,
I'm trying to gather together some best practice advise for a company when it comes to Audiometeric surveillance.
•Transient 'self employed' workforce.
•Can be Employed in role anything from 1day as 1 off or up to 4years+.
•All exposed to noise levels above 85db
Do any of you have any experience in defining the staff that would require surveillance - self employed or otherwise. As I understand it, if you are self employed and only work for one contractor, you are classed as employed by the contractor and therefor their responsibility when it comes to earth surveillance etc.
When would that come into play? When does that contractor become 'the employer' - after a month/six months/a year?
Any info would be greatly received!
Georgina
