As a preamble to the conference, the Centre of South Asian Studies, University of Cambridge, is organising a seminar series (11 February - 11 March 2013) that will introduce the theme of the conference. Several historians and anthropologists will discuss a selection of anthropological films of South Asia in relation to current historiographical methodologies. MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership.
