Subject: Photographing and the Law
Dear Colleagues,
I wonder whether anyone can advise on the law re photographing other people’s properties.
One of our researchers is carrying out a study that may involve taking photos of properties (general public and not e.g. National Trust) and images will be used in academic papers and presentations. Can they do this without the permission of the owner on the assumption that they don’t identify the property or where it is located?
Many thanks in advance for all advice given,
Lorraine
