Salary range £37,382 - £45,941 per annum (0.5 pro rata)
INFORMATION SERVICES: LIBRARY AND INFORMATION RESOURCES
The Information Services Directorate is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.5 FTE) Faculty Librarian to deliver and develop services to the Strathclyde Business School, particularly in support of the MBA and the Department of Management's Premium Masters programmes, within the Library and Information Resources part of the Directorate. This is a vital post within the Research and Learning Support section and shares responsibility (with another Faculty Librarian) for maintaining the high levels of customer satisfaction experienced by the Business School's staff and students in their use of the Andersonian Library.
You will be expected to have significant experience of customer service work, preferably within an academic or research library setting, as well as a good grasp of the impact of digital technology on modern library and information services. You will have a good Honours degree and a relevant postgraduate professional qualification or equivalent. The post requires excellent interpersonal skills, a demonstrable competence in enquiry work and the ability to liaise with academic staff and work as part of an academic team, particularly with regard to teaching information skills to Masters level students. Experience of user education and knowledge of contemporary information literacy developments is therefore essential.
