HEA STEM (Computing): Embracing Employability in HEIs
Date: 20 Feb 2013
Time: 09:00 – 16:00
Location/venue: Middlesex University, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BT
The focus of the event will be on discussing how we:
• embrace the employer engagement in its true sense and work with employers at various levels
• engage industrial partners in the delivery of course content
• involve the NHS (the National Health Service) in curriculum development and course delivery of a science programme.
• seamlessly tune the CBI graduate employability skills set into the technical curriculum within the School of Science and Technology at Middlesex University in order to accentuate the potential of our programmes to enhance graduates' employment skills.
The invited guest speakers will contribute to the discussion with their perspectives on embedded employability skills. It will also be a chance to share different approaches taken toward embedding employability into the curriculum at higher education institutions in the UK.
