Dear Anna:
Thank you for sending this alert. It will indeed be very timely contribution
to the scholarly perception of Rio+20 Outcome. I do look forward to read
this 'critique' by an excellent panel on yet another 'global conferencing'
milestone.
Environmental Policy & Law [vol.42/2, April 2012] carried our lead cover
article on "IE Dispute Settlement: Rio+20 and Beyond" just before the
Summit. I am attaching it for perusal of those who could be interested in
the subject.
I greatly appreciate your and Karen's effort to build the journal brick by
brick. It is a nice idea to combine select general articles along with
thematic one for each issue. It will add more value to JHRE.
Warm regards,
Bharat

| Dear GNHRE members,
|
| I am delighted to announce that the latest edition of the Journal of
| Human Rights and the Environment is now available on the Elgar
| website. You can find the journal content by following this link, and
| clicking on Edition 4.1:
|
| The edition is themed 'Rio+20: A Critique' and contains contributions
| from Sam Adelman, Rosemary Lyster, Cristiano Gianolla and Lynda M
| Collins.
|
| The JHRE will also now be publishing general articles of interest in
| the field, in a separate section, within each themed edition.
| Submissions are therefore warmly invited from GNHRE members. All
| submissions are carefully assessed, and if accepted for publication,
| are sent for double-blind peer review. The Journal editorial team
| endeavours to continue to ensure the highest possible academic quality
| - so we like to think that your scholarship is 'safe in our hands'!
| Any contributions should be sent to either myself or Karen Morrow
| ([log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]).
|
| The GNHRE continues to grow. We have several exciting new profiles
| listed on the website and work continues apace on moving the contents
| of the virtual research repository onto the new site. There are one or
| two technical glitches at the moment concerning the banner headings,
| but the site still operates perfectly well:
|
| Finally, plans continue to unfold for the GNHRE Symposium in Costa
| Rica on 2nd and 3rd July 2013. Abstracts of proposed papers are still
| welcome - please send them to me at [log in to unmask] The theme
| is 'Re-imagining the Relationship between Human Rights and the
| Environment'.
|
| Warm regards to all,
|
| Anna
