Final call for papers for PopFest 2013: the 21st Annual Population Postgraduate Conference. Deadline 1st March 2013.
An informal yet informative annual event for multidisciplinary population studies, PopFest aims to bring together research students from a variety of disciplines with a common interest in population. The conference is the ideal opportunity for PhD students to present their work, further their knowledge and network in a friendly environment.
Conference Keynote Speaker: Professor David Martin, co-Director of both the ESRC UK Data Service and ESRC National Centre of Research Methods
Conference Plenary: Dr. Diana López-Falcón, Research Scientist at Population Europe-Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research
With training workshops run by Dr Helen Goulding, Quercus Training and training day speaker Dr Alice Reid, Senior Research Associate in the Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure at the University of Cambridge.
PopFest are looking to encourage postgraduate research students from a wide range of disciplines including Demography, Economics, Social Policy, Health Sciences, Sociology, Gerontology, Human Geography, Historical Demography, Anthropology and Social Statistics to present their work relating to human populations and develop their networks. All research projects completed or in progress, relating to population studies are welcomed. Abstracts (500 words max) for both poster and oral presentations should be submitted to [log in to unmask]
