Doctoral Scholarships
Doctoral Scholarships
The Faculty of Health and Medicine is pleased to offer a number of scholarships to include a range of fees plus stipend awards for outstanding UK/EU and overseas students wishing to undertake full time ‘traditional route’ Doctoral Research at Lancaster in any Department within the Faculty of Health and Medicine.
Awards will be made for a maximum of three years full-time study. Applications should ideally be linked to one of the Faculty’s core research areas of:
· Ageing and End of Life Care
· Infectious Disease and Parasitology
· Mental Health and Wellbeing
· Public Health and Health Equity
Outstanding students in other areas of research undertaken within the Faculty may be considered providing they have agreed supervision from a member of academic staff within the Faculty.
The following bursaries will be available:
For Full-time UK/EU Home students
We are pleased to offer 2 doctoral studentships up to an overall total of £10,000 p.a. per student to cover fees plus a small stipend per student. Each bursary will be available for a maximum of 3 years. .
For Full-time Overseas Students:
We are pleased to offer 2 doctoral studentships consisting of fees (£13,990) plus a stipend equivalent to that of RCUK of £13,590. Each bursary will be available for a maximum of 3 years.
