Hi
I'm doing a talk on holy wells of Nottinghamshire if anyone is local enough, Bob perhaps, to come along here's the information from the website:
Wednesday 6th February 2013
"Holy Wells and Sacred Springs of Nottinghamshire"
Nottinghamshire is not renowned for holy wells, yet dig beneath the surface and like a spring itself, interesting legends and evocative sites bubble up. The presenter is a local researcher of ancient sites and old customs. His main area of interest is Holy wells and healing waters, of which he has written over 100 articles and blog/website entries and has now published his fourth book on Lincolnshire holy wells. To join books on Essex, Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. He is currently finishing a Nottinghamshire calendar, a month by month book on the ancient and modern ceremonies, customs and events of the county and a custom cookbook. He publishes his work under Pixyledpublications
At the Theosophical Hall on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham
(next door to the Salutation Inn) at 7.30 for 8.00pm
Talks usually finish around 9.30-10pm
when we go to the Salutation pub next door for a drink and a friendly social
chat
Admission is £4 (or £3.50 for Pagan Federation members and £2.00 for
the unwaged)
This will be a chance for anyone to find out more about the subject, especially in Nottinghamshire, hopefully purchase a book and meet me face to face....
Nice to see anyone. I'll have to remind myself to post my blog regularly like Bruce's excellent Malvern work.
All the best for the new year
Ross
