In my not-so-humble, dteam is Useful(tm). Either that, or gridpp.ac.uk, or something - some VO we can use and be members of and use for (a) demonstrators, (b) troubleshooting, and (c) testing. Several times when I have tried to do one of those, I've run into sites which claim to support dteam and where it doesn't work, and at least in the diminutive range of things where I am knowlegdeable it definitely delays getting things fixed (or demonstrated, or tested).
Let this be a plea for sites that support dteam to support dteam. Alternatively, that we abandon dteam and replace it with another VO with the same purpose.
Just my £0.02.

Incidentally I've just run a bunch of dteam jobs for the state of the nation page and I had no problems in Manchester.

I've submitted a number of jobs with a dteam proxy - and a surprising
number of them have failed.
I'll file tickets this afternoon, but sites may wish to check their config.
