My input:
Designing for human ways of living or human ways of being: what might a
differentiation bring to the future of design?

Subject: Another seminar: help please!
Dear All,
I have received some very helpful suggestions for the seminar series I am
initiating at the Royal College of Art, London, that I wrote to the list
about a week ago.The topic is
Research Epistemology: Research and Knowledge.
If anyone else has a suggestion for a reading, I'd love to hear of it. I'll
have to start sending the reading list to the students fairly soon, so I'd
appreciate receiving any further suggestions soon. I am looking for short
pieces easily available on the internet, and one (or at most two)
suggestions per person.
The intention is not to push a particular line, but to encourage explorative
discussion between the students. The topic can be thought of with variations
in wording, for instance, Research and Epistemology: Researching, Knowing.
I will be happy to publish the seminar series and reading lists, perhaps as
we get through each year of this 3 year rolling program.
Thanks to all of you who offer your advice, ideas and experience. The
students and I value this greatly.
Best Wishes,
Ranulph
