Learning & Information Services (LIS) at the University of Wolverhampton has seen significant investment in its building, technology and facilities. At the heart of the University experience, LIS has a well-founded reputation for delivering a successful service which is highly regarded by academic staff and students alike.
The University has an ambitious agenda for the growth of Research and is investing in its research capabilities. We are now seeking an enthusiastic information professional to join us in helping to develop sustainable improvements in research support for the whole University community. We want to build on our existing services for research, so you will work closely with colleagues both in LIS and across the University to lead on raising standards and expectations.
The post will contribute to improving the research performance and visibility of individuals and the University. You will have a wide brief and it is likely that impact will be across the whole service. You will have an appropriate degree or equivalent professional qualification, excellent communication, project management and technical skills. You will be familiar with the HE information and research environment, with knowledge and understanding of new technologies, scholarly communications and open access.
For an informal discussion about this post and its possibilities please contact Trish Fouracres, Assistant Director on 01902 322105.
