The Glasgow and Clyde Valley (GCV) Green Network Partnership seeks to appoint a GIS Specialist for a full time 6 week contract based in Glasgow.
The purpose of the contract is to provide GIS based outputs which will inform sections of a developing Glasgow and Clyde Valley Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.
This will be achieved by:
• Collating datasets relevant to Climate Change hazards and vulnerabilities
• Developing a GIS platform on which to present and analyse the data
• Undertake analysis to identify geographical locations across the GCV at risk from the effects of Climate Change
Applicants will require the following skill sets:
• Sound knowledge of ESRI GIS
• Experience of ESRI extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst)
• Perform GIS editing and conversions.
• The development of front end user interfaces
• Create metadata to metadata standards
The post will start on 4th February and run until mid-March and will be remunerated at a fixed cost of £3500. More detailed Job Descriptions and Personal Specification are attached.
