Dear Colleagues,
May I draw your attention – and that of students who might be interested
– to the following full-fee studentships for the one-year research MPhil
at Bristol? Further information about these, and about postgraduate funding
across Bristol's Faculty of Arts, is available at:
<http://www.bris.ac.uk/arts/gradschool/financial-aid/#overview>
The closing date is 28 February, and we'd be delighted to discuss proposals
with potential applicants before then.
With best wishes,
Steffan.
++++++++++++
Thanks to the generosity of a recent graduate in German from the University
of Bristol, the School of Modern Languages wishes to advertise nationally
two MPhil studentships (full remission of fees).
Applications are invited from candidates who propose projects on the
history, literature and culture of 20th-century Europe that specifically
relate to the First and/or Second World Wars and/or their aftermath and
legacy. It is anticipated that one studentship will be awarded for a
project focused on Germany or the German-speaking peoples, and the other
for a comparative project including German, but the selection panel will
make the awards strictly on the basis of the academic merits of the
proposals.
Potential applicants are invited to discuss their proposals with Dr Mark
Allinson ([log in to unmask]) or Professor Robert Vilain
([log in to unmask]) in advance of submission.
