NanoTemper Technologies develops, produces and sells innovative instruments for the field of biomolecular interaction analytics serving basic research as well as industry. The company, with headquarters in Munich, Germany, is rapidly expanding globally. The high quality instruments are based on the proprietary and unique Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) technology.
NanoTemper successfully introduced the Monolith NT.115 instrument in Europe, North America and Asia in 2010. In summer 2012 a new instrument, the Monolith NT.LabelFree was introduced.
To meet the increasing demand for sales and support in the North American market, the company is expanding its sales force. We are searching for field technical sales specialists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our dynamic, international sales team, you will be supporting pre- and post-sale technical activities in the North American market. Your responsibilities include: instrument demonstration and installation at customers’ site, customer technical training and post-sale technical support. Also participation at trade fairs in the US is an important part of your responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Masters or PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Master or PhD is strongly preferred. 3 years or more of technical support experience is a plus. Excellent technical skills and experience in state-of-the-art biomolecular interaction technologies are important. Excellent experimental skills for setup of biomolecular interaction assays are crucial. Ability to navigate accounts in broad geography effectively and advance the capital equipment process consistently is very important. An excellent ability to work independently, with strong communication skills is a merit for this position. Highly proficient experimental and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple simultaneous experiments and ability to travel up to 75% within US with multiple overnight stays are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Extensive travel will be required (up to 75%). The employee must occasionally lift heavy items. In the beginning training in the German headquarters is mandatory. Occasional travels to Europe are necessary. Location: West Coast (The Bay area).
