The School of Languages, Linguistics and Film at Queen Mary, University of London encourages outstanding post-doctoral scholars to apply to the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship. The School has a vibrant research culture across seven Departments (Comparative Literature, Film Studies, French, German, Iberian and Latin American Studies, Linguistics, and Russian). In addition our staff take part in a number of the University's research Centres, including the Centre for Anglo-German Cultural Relations, the Centre for Catalan Studies, the Centre for the Study of Migration, the Centre of Eighteenth Century Studies, the Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies, and the Centre for the History of Emotions. Our staff also take part in interdisciplinary School seminars, and each Department runs its own research seminar and reading groups. We would be delighted to hear from post-doctoral candidates working in relevant subject areas who are considering applying to the scheme, and would be happy to offer support in preparing applications. Candidates should demonstrate a publications record appropriate to the stage of their career, but at least one publication will be expected.
