Abstract
China’s government is the first developing country in the world to establish Sustainable Development strategy as basic state policy. Dr Liu will present the main actions, which have been deemed essential to implement this Sustainable Development strategy including policy measures, pilot studies and demonstrations, capacity building and international cooperation. The presentation will go on to showcase some of China’s achievements and discuss the current and future challenges which remain.
About the Speaker
Dr. Liu Rongxia, received her Ph.D. degree from Beijing Normal University, and majored in Nature Resource Management & Environmental Economy. Since 2005, she has worked for the Strategy & Policy Research Division of ACCA21 as the project manager and strategy& policy researcher of “China’s Sustainable Development Research Group”. During working in ACCA21,Dr. Liu has been engaged in exploring research of the China’s sustainable development.
