Hi SPM list,
I've got two problems (hope you don't mind two questions in the one email!), one to do with Octave and the second to do with explicit masking.
I'm trying to use SPM with Octave 3.6.2 and compile the MEX files as instructed by the SPM wiki but am having some problems.
If I try running the code from the wiki through a bash terminal, it runs until the 3rd line (make PLATFORM=octave && make install PLATFORM=octave) then gives the output:
mkoctfile --mex -c spm_vol_utils.c -DSPM_UNSIGNED_CHAR
make: mkoctfile: Command not found
make: *** [utils_uchar.mex.o] Error 127
If anyone has had a similar problem occur and found a work around, assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Second, I'm having a problem with explicit masking at the second level. When computing the first level output I had some problems with "holes" in the mask for a participant, but this was sorted by changing the spm defaults file to a mask threshold of -inf (masks created for each participants by segmenting their sMRI , adding the segmented images together using imcalc and using the output to create the mask using the command i1 > .9) Unfortunately at the second level, the problem is back (see attached image). I've gone through the individual contrast files and they all seem fine (no holes or NANs that I can see), so I'm at a loss for what to do. Again, help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter Goodin.
