We are delighted to be working on a new Open Access project relating to scholarly e-books, and we are seeking an exceptional individual to assist in getting the project off the ground. Our client, a mission-driven, community interest company (C.I.C) based in London, is building a small team of like-minded people for an innovative venture to enable sustainable Open Access for specialist, research-led e-books. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in this area.
This role will be key in establishing the infrastructure for this venture. It will involve setting up and running several key systems, including the collection and dissemination of bibliographic information from the publishers to libraries and related parties. We are looking for candidates who are self-starting, have initiative and flexibility. You will also have substantial experience in library and/or publishing industry operations, preferably scholarly and professional publishing. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills required with proven ability to work with multiple clients and deliver high quality services.
This will be a 9 month contract in the first instance with a hopeful start date of Feb/March. £excellent.
