Ingrid Tieken-Boon van Ostade is doing research on John Honey (1933-2001?), in particular in relation to the reception of his controversial publications The Language Trap (1983) and Language is Power (1997). For more information on this, see the Bridging the Unbridgeable project blog (http://bridgingtheunbridgeable.com/?s=john+honey). So far, she been able to acquire two collections of letters by Honey, but she is trying to find more. Should any member of the Henry Sweet Society still be in possession of letters from Honey, Ingrid would greatly appreciate having access to them, either in the form of copies or, if you would wish to part with them, the originals. The letters she has seen so far contain sensitive information, and she assures anyone willing to help her in her research that she will treat any letters that may come into her hands with the utmost care.
