At present I have been working on a bug fix version, 4.0.1, addressing mistakes in 4.0b. This version is intended to replace 3.x across all distributions in the near future.
If you could clarify the points below... I'll see what changes are practical for inclusion in 4.1.

I like the interface and many of the other features in the "Mango" program in terms of figure generation. but the bottom line is that fslview renders my data better for doing science, and has other features that make it just necessary to use it for my figures.
What platforms are available to you?

Not exactly sure what you mean. First, fslview 4.0.x is mostly a port to qt4/qwt5 and the available views haven't been updated since the previous version. A notable exception is that I tdid take advantage of the new rendering mechanism to provide a consistently working snapshot feature for getting views and graphs into figures. If you could clarify what is needed.

I have been intending to add this soon. Sorry it isn't in 4.0.

Currently this isn't supported and you need to resample data into the space of the base image.

It is possible to run this on a VM - this is how I have been developing for multiple platforms on my iMac.
