Dear All,
(apologies for cross posting)
on behalf of the organizing committee of the XXVth International Symposium on Molecular Beams (ISMB 2013) held in June 9-14, 2013, Prague we would like to invite you to register for the conference at the webpage:
http://prague2013.com/
This series of conferences held every second year since 1967 represents the ongoing activities in the interdisciplinary fields concerned with and concentrated around the molecular beam techniques. The XXVth edition of the ISMB will highlight the most recent experimental advances in the field of Molecule Beams with the focus on several topics:
- reaction and photodissociation dynamics of neutrals and ions;
- ultrafast dynamics;
- cold molecules, molecular control, and molecular-beam experiments on large facilities;
- biomolecules;
- molecular clusters and helium droplets;
- liquid micro-jets and aerosols;
- beam-surface collisions.
Honorary Lectures
As customary the contribution of distinguished researchers to the field of Molecular Beams will be honoured at ISMB. In Prague three honorary lectures will be delivered by:
Michel Costes (Institute of Molecular Sciences - University of Bordeaux )
Kopin Liu (Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences-Taiwan)
David J. Nesbitt (University of Colorado at Boulder)
Confirmed invited speakers
Mike Ashfold (University of Bristol)
Luis Banares (Universidad complutense de Madrid)
Sylvia Ceyer (MIT, Massachusetts)
David Chandler (Sandia National Laboratories, California)
Berndt von Issendorff (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität-Freiburg)
Jochen Küpper (Center for Free-Electron Laser Science-Hamburg)
Shih Huang Lee (National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center Taiwan)
Samuel Leutwyler (University of Bern, Switzerland)
Carl Lineberger (JILA Boulder, Colorado)
Michel Mons (Commissariat à l Energie Atomique-Saclay)
Sergej Nizkorodov (University of California, Irvine)
Hanna Reisler (University of Southern California)
Henrik Stapelfeldt (Aarhus University, Denmark)
Albert Stolow (Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences, Canada)
Toshinori Suzuki (Kyoto University)
Stefan Willitsch (University of Basel)
Bernd Winter (Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie)
Alec Wodtke (Institute of Physical Chemistry, Gottingen)
The symposium will take place in President Hotel in the downtown of Prague. The morning and afternoon lectures, including lunch, and poster sessions, will be restricted to the hotel venue. The location of the venue is perfect if you would like to do some sightseeing around Prague in the least amount of time.
We would like to provide you with some details concerning the registration below:
Apart from invited lectures outlined on in the program also oral contributions will be selected from submitted abstracts. If you would like to apply for the selection, please indicate “Talk or Poster” in your “Preferred Presentation” upon registration. Please, remember to upload your abstract(s) at your earliest convenience (templates can be downloaded from the webpage when you sign-in).
Once registered, your data will be stored on your account for which you will provide your own password. If you “Sign in” at a later point you will be able to upload the abstract(s) of your presentation(s), arrange your accommodation online, purchase additional packages (e.g. accompanying person package), etc.
Please, book your accommodation in time, since June is already the high tourist season in Prague and it might be difficult to find a reasonable accommodation in Prague as June approaches. There are 50 rooms reserved directly at the conference venue. Rooms in another 10 hotels in various price categories (including student dormitories) are reserved and can be booked directly via the conference webpage. Most of them are located directly downtown Prague within walking distance from the venue.
We hope that you will have no troubles to register for the conference and do not hesitate to contact us in case of any difficulties.
We are looking forward to see you in Prague,
With kindest wishes,
Local organizing team:
