Head of Customer Services (Salary £37,012 - £39,257, with progression to £44,166)

Applications are invited for the post of Head of Customer Services in the Robinson Library, to be responsible for the development and operational management of the Library's Customer Services and for ensuring that the services delivered meet the current and future needs of Library users.
You should be educated to honours degree standard and have an understanding of the changing role of libraries within higher education, current developments in front-line library and learning support services and knowledge of customer service frameworks and best practice. Demonstrable experience in a front of house service delivery/direct user support management role in a library environment is essential as is proven ability to engender and maintain high staff service standards. You should also have considerable experience of working with an integrated library management system and contributing to customer focused planning and development.
In addition to proven leadership and management skills, including exceptional customer service skills, you should be able to demonstrate a high standard of communication and liaison, negotiating and influencing, organisation and management skills together with excellent IT and problem solving skills and the ability to encourage innovation and creativity.
