Principle 5 was considered very seriously by the ICO when they recently fined the Belfast Trust. They had left old medical records in an abandoned hospital.

It was only a matter of time. I think it is a good warning to remind organisations that any principle, if abused in a systemic way, (which leads to damage and distress) can lead to an MPN.

For the most part, they will be p1 and p7 (with a sprinkling of p3 and p4) (In many cases, you cannot escape p1 breaches as a p7 breach by default will also be a p1 breach).

What I am interested in seeing is when the first p5 breach emerges.

It *is* the first non-7th-Principle CMP.
