Apologies for any cross-posting
Dear All,
Sigma is a partner in an event being organised on the 17-18 December 2012 in Leeds entitled 'Undertaking Pedagogic Research in the HE STEM Disciplines'. This is a follow-on to an event that took place in June this year and is aimed at those who are both new to pedagogic research and who wish to explore their learning and teaching activities in a more evidence based manner, and those who may have undertaken some form of project evaluation but who are looking to develop their skills to lead to full publication anddissemination of their findings. It may be of interest to those of you who wish to further understand the impact of the mathematics and statistics activities you are undertaking – indeed several of the speakers are from a mathematics background.
Due to the financial support of the Higher Education Academy, this event is available free of charge. Further details are available in the attached document, or they can be viewed online: http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/events/detail/2012/Undertaking_Ped_R_in_STEM
Please do feel free to circulate this announcement to other interested colleagues and to any networks you might have.
Best wishes,
Michael
