Dear Ramesesians
A couple of fellowships (9-12 months duration, 'early career' applicants) have been created at the University of Leeds for OVERSEAS visitors. The funding essentials are outlined below. Please note this is not a salaried post - basically it will provide the wherewithal to stay here for an extended period - i.e. it would still need support from a 'home' institution. Note also that the fellowships are not in my gift. There is an internal competition within the university. However, the odds are pretty good.
The 'research idea' is simple. The fellow would participate in 2/3 ongoing realist projects here, learn some tricks of the trade and develop a fresh project to take back home.
Anyone interested? I'll provide further details should anyone be available.

• An allowance for subsistence expenses of up to £1,900 per month, actual amount to depend on the amount of income of grant, if any, available to the Fellow from other sources. NB. These funds do not constitute a salary. The awards enable work on a specific range of research activities for a period of fixed duration and therefore should not be construed as a contract of employment;
• An allowance for subsistence, at £410 per month, for an accompanying spouse or partner who is not in receipt of other income and who must plan to spend at least six months in the UK;
• A return fare (normally the cheapest return air fare available or two one-way tickets if these are more economical) for the Fellow and accompanying spouse/partner;
• Up to £790 for travel and subsistence within the UK, away from the host institution, for the Fellow so that he or she can attend conferences or undertake research trips.
