We wish to recruit three Lecturers or Senior Lecturers in Social Statistics / Quantitative Social Science. These posts are tenable from1 April 2013.
The appointed candidates will join the Social Statistics discipline area and will provide academic leadership within the associated research cluster (Centre for Census and Survey Research, CCSR) with respect to both research and the design and implementation of teaching programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Applicants must have established a reputation in Social Statistics, Quantitative Social Science, or Quantitative Social Research Methods, supported by a strong record of published research output and a wider record of achievement.
Applicants with specializations across Quantitative Social Science are invited, but specializations and approaches that build on strengths within the existing group at CCSR are particularly welcome. These include quantitative research methods in Social Science disciplines such as: Sociology, Demography, Social Epidemiology, Economics, Politics, Human Geography and Education, as well as methodological expertise in survey and census methodology, longitudinal data analysis, missing data analysis, multilevel/hierarchal models, social network analysis or the development and application of computational statistical methods.
