I just received The Poems of Octavio Paz, edited and almost entirely translated by Eliot Weinberger (with a handful of translations by Muriel Rukeyser, Paul Blackburn, Elizabeth Bishop, Denise Levertov and Charles Tomlinson). A huge selection of one of Latin America's most important poets. The translations are lucid and fresh, eloquent and unassuming--no star turns at the expense of the original. And it's bilingual. The product of decades. I can't recommend it more highly.
