dear all,
I am hopefully set to begin a sabbatical next academic year (July 2013–June
2014) and am looking for resources and experiences in relation to
undertaking a design-related sabbatical. I have yet to find any collected
resources, particularly in relation to non-American citizens / applicants,
for design.
I am looking for a Visiting Lectureship / Professorship, or equivalent, in
a University / Academy in another country (I am in Canada). Ideally I am
looking to gain an opportunity of researching / working with, and in, a
design department to better understand how art and design are taught in
this country and institution (much of my research focuses on Design
Education). I would be looking for office space, resource access and
an opportunity
to observe and ideally work with lecturers and students as was possible
and advantageous. If there was funding or an opportunity to compete for
financial support that would be wonderful but not expected (but wonderful).
I hold dual citizenship (Canada / EU) if that opens any doors.
Please reply off list to me with any personal insights, experiences,
resources or opportunities that you are aware of. I will be more than happy
to collect and share results with the list.
Thanks in advance, Aidan
