 Dear all,
Research School for Media and Communications (RSMC) is a non-profit
organisation generating standard academic resources, internationally
accepted methods and theories mainly in Pashto language. This is a
first academic research institution run by Afghan scholars who aim to
fill the academic space in Afghanistan’s academic sphere. RSMC‘s main
objective is to examine flows of information and the different kinds
of communication presented by various parties in Afghanistan. RSMC is
run in English and in Pashto languages. This call is for the English
publication.

Here is a call for paper and we invite, please take it serious and
support us by your kindness contributions.

Call for papers: RSMC First issue on the Withdrawal of NATO Afghanistan

http://www.rsmcjournal.co.uk/index.php/call-for-paper

Background and expectations

The issue of withdrawal of NATO from Afghanistan has become
increasingly important in the current political landscape of
Afghanistan as well as in the International political arena. The
NATO-member countries tell success stories to their citizens for
domestic consumption while the Afghans feel they have become more
vulnerable to the increasing insecurity and injustice.

A lot has been written on the withdrawal of NATO and beyond. While
such literature is helpful in understanding the possible scenarios
following the military withdrawal it lacks an analysis of who got what
out of the presence of NATO forces in Afghanistan since 2001. More
specifically the following questions remain to be answered:

a. Has the international community delivered the development projects
on an equitable basis to the communities in Afghanistan?

b. To what extent have the NATO and foreign donors fulfilled their
pledges made with the people of Afghanistan?

c. What are the implications, of the 2001-2014 epochs, for national
unity / nation building? Has the project of nation-building brought
about national unity in Afghanistan?

d. What did some communities/ethnic groups gained and others lost
during the occupation of NATO forces?

e. Have the post-9/11 transformations brought about national unity or
ethnic divisions in Afghanistan?

f. Was it a war on terror or a war of revenge?

g. How did global press specially the US media publicise US –led war
on Afghanistan in the first place?

The first issue of the RSMC wishes to address these questions through
Scholarly literatures. To avoid ethnocentrism, RSMC invites scholars
from all backgrounds to submit their topics in the light of the
background explained above. Please send a manuscript of 500 words
about your idea and angle.

Submission requirements and related information:

The closing date for submission is 15 November 2012

Expected date of publication is 15 January 2013

Full papers should be submitted following the guidelines provided by
the journal:
