Apologies for cross-posting.
You are cordially invited to The Grand Opening of The Lost Cinemas of Castle Park App The Bandstand, Castle Park, Bristol Saturday 24 November 2012, 2pm.
The app is a locative audio tour that features 13 cinemas in and around Castle Park, from the makers of the Curzon Memories App. Come and celebrate over 100-years of cinema-going in Bristol City Centre on the anniversary of the Blitz that destroyed one of Bristol's finest 2000+ seater super cinemas, The Regent.
If you fancy a jaunt to the mild, mild West next weekend, then come on down. Meet in The Bandstand at 2pm for a brief welcome, then explore the park. Please wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear for this outdoor event. You can take as long as you like exploring the park – it’s designed to work as a feature-length experience or you can dip in and out. The plan is then to repair to the Watershed Media Centre at dusk to warm up.
If you would like to come, then please register to attend the event at http://lostcinemas.eventbrite.com/
The app is available to download now from the iTunes App Store. Currently available on iOS iPhone / iPad only, but handsets may be provided if you select the "Stalls" ticket on registration. Details about location and parking also available on registration.
Please bring your ticket with you on the day.
Look forward to seeing you there!
All the best,
Charlotte
