‘Identifying and filling knowledge gaps’
The Energy Institute (EI) is the professional body for the energy industry. Gareth’s role at the EI involves knowledge management development, coordinating and improving the way in which the EI handles knowledge and enabling the EI to develop its energy-evidence base. Gareth has focused on developing an EI taxonomy, information dissemination and communications, social media, knowledge networks and member engagement.
14.30 Elisabeth Goodman and John Riddell, RiverRhee Consulting ‘Organising and retrieving knowledge’
The purpose of this session is to look at the practicalities of making knowledge accessible on demand quickly and easily to those who need it.
RiverRhee Consulting, works with established business teams in Library & Information management, and in the Pharmaceutical Industry / Life Sciences, to enhance team effectiveness. Elisabeth and John will be focusing on RiverRhee’s 3 main strands for KM which are Communities of Interest / Practice, Collaborative Team Working and Learning before, during and after - as the central pillars for providing access to knowledge in a quick, easy and practical way.

‘The challenges that come from culture, and practical solutions’
James is a qualified knowledge and information professional with experience of introducing knowledge sharing tools and techniques to organisations, information management practice, and the delivery of a wide range of information services within academic, professional membership and corporate working environments.
