All,
The following email exchange illustrates a problem we have had validating a
software suite on EMI2. Basically, what worked on glite 3.2 didn't work on
EMI2 unless we did something. Hope it helps somebody. I may raise a ticket.

Hi Janusz,
We have found a solution for this problem here. My colleague, Rob Fay,
has determined this.
On GLITE 3.2, NA62MC/bin/Linux-g++/NA62MC links properly, even if you
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH without "export".
On EMI2, NA62MC/bin/Linux-g++/NA62MC fails to links properly, if you set
LD_LIBRARY_PATH without "export".
So on EMI2, it is necessary to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH with "export".
We don't know the exact reason for this change of behavior, but we have
a theory about the way Yaim configures EMI2.
The new command should look something similar this (i.e. with export):
# export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/exp_soft_sl5/na62/na62mcrundir_v7/NA62MC/Generator/
Obviously, you need to use
"VO_NA62_VO_GRIDPP_AC_UK_SW_DIR/na62mcrundir_v7" or whatever as a
prefix, so it works everywhere.
Cheers for helping sort it out. It should work now on any EMI2 site.
