Dear Rolf,
This tool is a beta version, so not quite so heavily tested yet.
However, the code explicitly takes care of variable amounts of space in the superior direction - this is precisely what it is designed to do. Therefore if you are having trouble it is probably not due to the amount of space but due to something else. Can you upload an example so that we can test it?
