Apologies for cross-posting
It is now possibly to book your place for our annual IBBY/NCRCL
conference. Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested. We
often sell out, so I would suggest booking soon!
19th Annual IBBY/NCRCL MA Conference: Beyond the Book University of
Roehampton, London Saturday 10 NOVEMBER 2012 at Grove House, Froebel
College
Now, more than ever, people are debating what constitutes a book. With
the development of ebooks, apps, self-publishing and fan fiction - as
well as the popularity of book adaptations to film, TV, stage and other
venues - book boundaries are extended and broken all the time.
Our exciting programme includes children's book historian Matthew
Grenby; innovative digital publishers Nosy Crow, Winged Chariot, and Hot
Key Books; award-winning author Sita Brahmachari; school librarian Kay
Waddilove talking to young book reviewers; national children's dramatist
David Wood; Pop Up director Dylan Calder speaking with author Candy
Gourlay, and author/illustrators James Mayhew and Karin Littlewood; and
more... You can find the most up-to-date programme here:

The day also features a range of stimulating parallel sessions on themes
such as performance and adaptation, online writing communities,
merchandising and the book as material object, and new forms of
publishing.
